THE HISTORY OF THE ORIGINAL CREEK RAT

The Creek Rat Brand has its origins from Topanga Canyon, California.  Topanga Creek, behind the main boulevard in the Center of the Canyon, by the Post Office, Old Canyon Inn, and Joe's Market, was a favorite spot where us Topanga Kids hung out waiting for the Corral to open or just to spend time collecting rocks, wading in the pools and under the waterfalls or just to enjoy the Magic of Topanga Canyon. It was a great time and Topanga Canyon was the place to be and we called ourselves Creek Rats. Denn Tezzier, the owner of Creek Rat, was known as the Creek Rat Cartoonist Kid of Topanga and was asked to start up a comic strip in the Local Topanga Messenger Newspaper and the Creek Rat Cartoons Comic Strip was born! The main comic strip character still lives in Topanga Canyon but the times have changed as they have for most and today Creek Rat is based on a prominent Big Law Attorney with a highly successful Practice in Santa Monica, California. Creek Rat has been published many times through the decades and the Creek Rat Comics Strip still makes special appearances to this day. If you ever make it up to Topanga Canyon, you can still feel the Magic of the Beach, the Canyon and the Creek.
